I have joined W1Curates' MakeItBlue campaign in support of the NHS, encouraging people everywhere to share their own messages of gratitude & solidarity to the brave front line workers!
I created “Hope Metamorphosis” for this campaign, to invite viewers to reconnect with nature and their inner selves.
In such troubled times, it is comforting to think that every day small miracles still happen naturally. Through the illustration of a young nurse surrounded by butterflies, the piece juxtaposes urban life and nature motifs of a vibrant blue palette.
Furthermore, the flowers and the white tiger on the lower-right allude to the wilderness and make reference to the grace and elegance of the figure with renewed strength.
The enigmatic figures akin to the relaxed presence of the wild present in my art suggest that nature can offer us the ability to restore tranquillity in a chaotic world.
This idea serves as my inspiration: offering a message of hope and beauty, life and rebirth.
My work “Hope Metamorphosis” was displayed on the digital installation at Flannels Store, Oxford Street, London, during the month of February 2021.
